Estate Planning Services at This Location
Cutler Riley's Draper office handles the full range of estate planning services for Utah families.
A revocable living trust is the foundation of most estate plans we prepare. It directs how your assets pass to the people you choose, keeps your estate out of probate court, and ensures your successor trustee can step in immediately if you become incapacitated. Most clients pair their trust with a pour-over will that captures any assets not already titled in the trust and names a guardian for minor children.
A durable power of attorney and healthcare directive give trusted family members the legal authority to manage your finances and medical care if you become unable to do so. Without these documents, your family may need court involvement before anyone can act on your behalf.
For clients with more complex needs, we offer asset protection and legacy planning strategies designed to preserve wealth across generations, including the Utah Domestic Asset Protection Trust, spousal lifetime access trusts, special needs trusts, and charitable remainder trusts.
When probate is unavoidable, we guide families through Utah's informal probate process efficiently and without unnecessary court involvement.

Why Draper and Salt Lake County Families Choose Cutler Riley
Cutler Riley focuses exclusively on estate planning. We do not handle divorce, criminal defense, personal injury, or business litigation. That focus means every attorney at the firm has deep familiarity with Utah estate planning law, Utah probate procedure, and the specific concerns of Utah families — and that is all we do.
Our pricing is flat-fee and quoted before any work begins. You will know exactly what your plan costs at the end of your first consultation, and there are no surprises. Every client works directly with an attorney from the initial consultation through the signing of their final documents.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an appointment to visit the Draper office?
Yes. The Draper office is by appointment only so that every client receives dedicated attorney time. You can schedule your free consultation online or by calling (801) 823-0010.
How long does the free consultation take?
The initial consultation is 15-30 minutes. That is enough time to understand your situation, explain your options, and give you a flat-fee quote for your plan. There is no obligation to move forward.
Can I do everything remotely, or do I need to come in?
We can conduct your initial consultation and document review remotely. Document signing, however, requires an in-person appointment at one of our offices, as Utah law requires your estate planning documents to be signed and witnessed in person.
